Gene Deitch, an Oscar winning animation director. He directed numerous children’s animation films, including Maurice Sendak’s “Where the Wild Things Are.” He won the Oscar for Jules Pfieffer’s “Munro” an animation short about a 4 year old.
He wrote a humorous book about living in Prague, the animation capital of the world.
